Historic Town Centre Buildings Restored and Ready to Shine
A row of much-loved historic buildings in the heart of Great Malvern has been given a new lease of life following a carefully executed programme of repair and refurbishment.
Project Details
The project focused on historic shopfronts on Worcester Road—a familiar group of period buildings that form a key part of the town’s streetscape. Working as the project’s architect and heritage consultant with local contractor Zenith Ltd, the scheme preserves the buildings’ character while enhancing their appearance.
Works included repairs to tiled façades, bronze shopfronts, signage and timber framework, alongside refurbishment of internal office spaces and essential repairs to roofs, render and windows of the three-storey buildings behind. The result is a brighter, more cohesive frontage benefiting both businesses and residents.
Completed in October 2025, the refurbishment marks a significant improvement to one of Great Malvern’s busiest streets.

A spokesperson for the client said:
“We’re proud to have completed this refurbishment and to have helped preserve part of Malvern’s architectural heritage. These buildings are a valuable part of the town’s identity, and we’re delighted to see them looking their best once again.”
